Banyuls is a Vin Doux Naturel made predominantly from Grenache Noir.

Château Filhot, 2008 (Half bottle)Our price: £20.70The Château Filhot was founded in 1709 by Romain de Filhot and is now owned managed by one of his descendants: count Henri de Vaucelles. The Château Filhot is a classic Sauternes with specific fresh Sauvignon Blanc flavors character (36% Sauvignon blanc in the blend). The Vineyards are bordered by the Landes forest and are crossed by Ciron (small local river) which creates the ideal microclimate for the development of the botrytis cinerea on the grapes. The harvest is made with successive selections according to the state of maturation of the grapes and the evolution of the noble rot (Botrytis Cinerea).
Monbazillac 2010 Domaine de l'Ancienne Cure (Half Bottle)Our price: £9.10This small, family owned estate has been producing crops now for over 5 generations, their produce over the years varying from cereals to dairy products and, of course, brilliant wines. Former owner, Amédée Roche, was among the original co-founders of the Monbazillac Wine Co-operative in 1935, a venture that has done wonders for the reputation and distribution of wines from this region ever since. Domaine de L’Ancienne Cure began to bottle their own wine in 1968, and since then, have gone on to become an independent producer of some repute. In order to ensure their sweet wines are of the highest possible quality, all their grapes are harvested by hand, so as to pick only those grapes that have been affected by noble rot. This fungus, similar to the one that gives Roquefort its distinct flavour, leaches the grapes of any water, increasing their sugar content and providing the perfect grapes to make delicious sweet wines.

Vendanges Tardives Pinot Gris Altenbourg 50cl Domaine Albert MannOur price: £25.95This well regarded Alsace domaine is run by two brothers, Maurice and Jacky Barthelmé in the village of Wettolsheim, near Colmar. Maurice, who took over here in 1984, is married to the daughter of the late Albert Mann who gave his name to the domaine. It’s not a huge operation: they have 22 hectares in all, but five of these are in five different Grand Cru vineyards and a further two are in lieux-dits. Domaine Albert Mann is organic.
