FMC, Ken Forrester, 2010
Scholtzenhof, one of the oldest farms in the Cape was originally known as Zandbergh, and dates back to 1689. Located on the slopes of the Helderberg mountain range in Stellenbosch, the vineyards enjoy a complex soil structure and a Mediterranean climate. The picture-perfect trellised vineyards are combined with 45 year old bush vines which as a whole are testament to Ken's commitment to delivering benchmark wines that reflect his passion for traditional winemaking at every price point.
FMC stands for 'Forrester Meinert Chenin', and is a generously full, refined white. The palate shows vanilla and honey characters. An iconic Chenin and in the words of the winery, 'a challenge to the world'.
