Pinot Noir, Tinja, 2008

This winery based in Mudgee specialises in small batch winemaking using innovative techniques both for themselves and contract clients. The winery has advanced the approach to quality wine production by planting dryland vineyard to produce lower yields of extremely high quality grapes.
David Lowe took over his family estate on his return from a long stint in the Hunter Valley and Bordeaux before that. The amount of energy and work put into management of the vineyards by David Lowe has been absolutely pivotal in ensuring the quality of these wines year in, year out. A unique and individual venture with soaring aspirations.
This is not a light style of New World Pinot Noir, more on the jammy and spicy side, with hints of leather and game.
