Chardonnay, Bogle, 2010
Although the Bogle family has been farming since the mid-1800s, it was not until 1968 that the father and son team of Warren and Chris Bogle planted their first 20 acres of vineyard in Clarksburg, California. In this small farming community nestled along the banks of the Sacramento River, the Bogle family has built a reputation based on impressive wines and a nationally acclaimed winery.
Generous, with a nice layered texture from a combination of barrel fermentation, sur-lies ageing and partial malo-lactic fermentation. Spicy apple and pear is complemented by butterscotch and nutmeg characters from new American oak.
