Le Chêne Bleu is the brainchild of Nicole and Xavier Rollet and Jean Louis Galluci, the winemaker. The estate is situated in a truly exceptional site high up in the Dentelles de Montmirail near Gigondas.
The micro-terroir of Chêne Bleu is blessed in that it receives benefits from the same sunny days as other southern Rhône terroirs but its altitude also confers high levels of acidity and therefore wonderful freshness. This combination is perfect for making complex and long-lasting wines.
Named after the glassblower that bought the property in 1427, this award-winning White Grenache blend is perfumed and rich, with peach, pear and sandalwood on the nose. A silky palate ensues, with a warm, balanced and sustained finish.
