In 1989 Yves Rousset-Rouard purchased an ancient provençale farmhouse with 8 hectares of vines and decided to create Domaine de la Citadelle, a sculpted 'grand vin' reflecting the quality and typicity of the Côtes de Luberon appellation, the youngest of the great names of the Rhône valley. Over 20 years, and as a result of hard work, patience, strict selection of only the best vineyard plots and by means of his son Alexis who joined him in 1995, Yves has succeeded in creating one of the top domaines in the Côtes de Luberon.
Dominated by Syrah (but with Grenache, Cinsaut and Carignan also), this is crisp, fruity and full of character.
