Domaine Rimauresq Rouge 2007

Our price: £13.00
The vineyard is located in southern France near the city of Toulon. It is 35 kilometres from the sea and situated at an altitude of between 140 and 190 metres. Rimauresq was one of only a small number of vineyards in the region rewarded Cru Classé status when the classification system was drawn up in 1955.
Rimauresq, which faces north-west, is found at the foot of the Maures range of mountains. These help create good growing conditions for grapes as it provides morning shade for the vineyard. Consequently, this provides longer ripening periods in the crucial weeks prior to harvest. The vineyard has a Scottish connotation as it is owned by the Wemyss family
