Corbières, Cuvée Tradition, 2010
CHÂTEAU LA CONDAMINE – Henri Barronet
A typical Corbières estate situated between Carcassonne and the foothills of the Alaric Mountains, La Condamine is family owned and run. This cuvee is dominated by Carignan but also contains some Grenache, Mourvèdre and a little bit of Syrah. The Carignan has the particularity to have gone through carbonic maceration.
A very approachable wine with big but soft and ripe tannins, the palate is packed with juicy cherry characters, hints of liquorice and a typical garrigue herbs finish.
