CHAMPAGNE CANARD-DUCHÊNE – Alain Thienot
Canard-Duchêne was founded in 1868 in Ludes, a small village in the Montagne de Reims. By 1890 Canard-Duchêne had penetrated the closed circle of the suppliers to the Court of Tsar Nicholas II, hence the two-headed eagle, emblem of the Russian Imperial family.
Canard-Duchêne is now owned and run by Alain Thienot whose drive for excellence has given this long-established Champagne house a new impetus.
