Andrée Trapet is the wife of Jean Louis Trapet, owner of the famous estate in Gevrey Chambertin, but she decided to take over her father's estate in Alsace in 2002. With the help of Remy Jung she has set incredibly high standards of viticulture, applying biodynamic principles to her small but bijou estate.
The Riquewihr terroir is granitic and drains excellently, producing very aromatic, mineral, elegant wines with no residual sugar.
Bursting with lemon and rhubarb, this Riesling has a fresh and crisp palate balanced nonetheless by an elegant richness from ageing on its lees.
