Gewürztraminer Les Folastries, Josmeyer, 2010

Biodynamic viticulture is a holistic approach that strives to achieve excellence in winemaking whilst keeping in harmony with nature. It does not use the herbicides or pesticides employed in conventional grape growing. By respecting the soil as a living element, it nurtures the vines with the mineral and organic trace elements that are such a rich part of it. Biodynamic viticulture also takes into consideration the pattern of lunar and cosmic rhythms. The soil is seen simply as a support for vine growing, but as a organism in its own right.
Josmeyer distinguishes itself from other producers with very pure wines, totally expressing their terroir, showing delicate fruit and terrific mineral characters.
This wine offers a very floral and peppery nose, and a pure, dry and spicy mouth.
