The cave co-operative system in the Mâconnais is widely spread but more and more producers are starting to make their own wines instead of selling their grapes to the cave. One such example of this is Dominique Cornin, former Vice President of the Cave de Chaintré.
Dominique Cornin's Mâcon Chaintré has the desired fatness of the Mâconnais terroir on the palate but this is balanced by its fresh acidity.
