Chablis 'La Boissonneuse', Julien Brocard, Burgundy, France 2020
Regular price £28.90
Jean-Marc & Julien Brocard
Jean-Marc Brocard established himself in the village of Préhy, just to the south-west of Chablis, in 1973, shortly after marrying a vigneron’s daughter from St-Bris. Today the domaine is a mix of their own property and long-term farming contracts, and is now run by Jean-Marc’s son Julien and son-in-law Frédéric Gueguen. Julien in particular has been instrumental in converting the vineyards to biodynamic principles.
They are blessed with vineyard sites across a whole host of appellations. As a result, the Brocard range is able to provide an accurate snapshot across the region in any particular vintage. Their wines possess precision, poise and elegance, underpinned with racy acidity and bright fruit – a sign that the generational changing of the guard is leaving the estate in safe hands.
Chablis 'La Boissonneuse' 2020
A spectacular Chablis that punches way above its weight in terms of complexity and depth. The vivid aroma of honey, candied peel and warm stones continues into the dynamic, multi-layered palate, which finishes long and mineral-citrusy.
