Biodynamic – family owned
In the 1960s, the Marchionni family set off in search of land that would be more prosperous than their farm in the area of Camerino. They settled on the small hamlet of Collestefano, where they set about cultivating Verdicchio, the most famous grape variety of the Marche region.
Verdicchio’s name is derived from ‘verde’ meaning green, referring to the yellowish-green skin of the grape, which gives the wine a subtle, greenish hue. It produces crisp, dry wines of naturally high acidity and often with hints of citrus fruits and almonds.
In 1998, Fabio graduated in oenology and took over the running of the estate from his parents. His dedication to organic and biodynamic practices has enabled the estate to build a reputation among the finest in the region.
Here’s something a little different for those who like to explore lesser-known grape varieties. Apricots, peaches, minerals, mint, almonds and flowers all make an appearance in this soft, caressing white.
