Caves Cooperatives de Plaimont
The Caves Cooperatives de Plaimont have been making wine since the 1970s, drawing fruit from small family winemakers in the Côtes de Gascogne region of France, between Bordeaux and Madiran.
Their key focus is to promote the use of typically local grape varieties and a high proportion of their growers are either organic or currently in conversion.
Their red offering is a blend of Tannat, Cabernet Sauvignon and a dash of Merlot. In many ways it is a classic French bistro style of wine, fruit-forward and crunchy with bright fruit and a slightly peppery finish.
