Domaine d’O

Domaine d’O is a father and son project shared between our good friend Floris Lemstra and his son, Olivier (hence the ‘O’!). Despite the fact that Floris is Dutch, Olivier was born in the Hospices de Beaune, growing up among the Grands Crus of Burgundy and then the vines of Floris’ project at Château Canet in the Minervois. As a result, grapes and cellars were never far away throughout Olivier’s childhood. Inevitably, it wasn’t long before his summers were spent helping Floris in the vineyards and throughout the harvest.

Having most definitely caught the winemaking bug, Olivier then travelled to Mendoza, to further his knowledge away from Floris’ watchful eye. The 12 hectare estate of Domaine d’O in the AOC Limoux is the first project in Olivier’s fledgling career. In his eyes, the terroir encompasses his Burgundian roots in tandem with his Languedoc education. The first harvest at Domaine d’O was completed in 2018 and already, Olivier’s wines are showing remarkable improvement year on year. There is no question in our eyes that he is a name to look out for in the future!
