Great value for money
The well-respected French winemaker, Boutinot, has established wineries across the New World. In Chile they have a long standing working relationship with growers which enables them to source premium fruit, with the ultimate aim of making excellent quality Chilean entry level wines with true style and character.
For this Merlot, Boutinot has worked with two families in two different locations to produce a wine with huge appeal. The first is the Martin Family whose vineyards are around 500 metres above sea level, nestled into the Andes Mountains in a western corner of Curico, These contain vines between 40 and 60 years old and at this elevated height and proximity to the mountains, Merlot enjoys a long growing season with cool evening temperatures. The crunchy plummy fruit character gives the backbone to this wine.
