Family owned – Pinot Noir dominated blends – connoisseurs favourite
Still owned and run by the Philipponnat family, this prestigious Champagne house has always produced Champagnes that can be enjoyed by a broad spectrum of wine loves.
Located on the banks of the River Marne, the vineyards of Champagne Philipponnat converge on the 18th century cellar, the hub of proceedings, where all their cuvees are left to mature.
The majority of the house blends are dominated by Pinot Noir, a common trait of Champagnes produced in the southern areas of the Montagne de Reims, the sub-region in which Philipponnat is based.
The fact that the wines consist of predominantly Pinot Noir ensures that all Philipponnat Champagnes are full-bodied and structured while remaining fresh and distinctive.
