Founded in 1973 by the eponymous Joseph Phelps, this winery is one of the true Napa Valley pioneers, and has set a quality benchmark for Napa ever since its inception. Following a period of expansion and diversification, Joseph Phelps is now concentrating purely on Bordeaux and Burgundy varieties – plus Scheurebe! The production has been scaled back to the point where all the fruit comes from estate vineyards, which is something of a rarity in California. This is now a brilliantly focused, dynamic producer that refuses to rest on its laurels.

A complex, textural Pinot Noir that offers aromas of cherry, raspberry, anise and tea leaves, along with a tangerine brightness that expresses the wine’s coastal origins. The palate is generous yet finely structured, with good capacity to age.

Goods can be returned, if possible in original packaging, for a full refund or replacement.
If you receive the wrong product, or a product is faulty, or its bottle or cork is damaged when you receive it, we will replace or refund you with the original price and, if applicable, the cost of returning it.
We ask to be notified in writing or by telephone within seven days of the date of delivery or the time you are aware that the product is faulty or damaged. Products and packaging should be kept until we inform you whether we want you to return them to us or not as we may undertake an analysis or return them to the producer.
