Fresh, vibrant, and aromatic, with notes of red cherry, raspberry, violets, and spice. Light to medium-bodied, with lively acidity and soft tannins, this is a joyful, expressive young Mencía with great clarity.
Castro Ventosa
Founded in 1752 by the Pérez family and still in their hands today, Castro Ventosa produces elegant, traditionally styled wines that showcase Mencía at its best through careful vineyard work and a light touch in the cellar. Recently expanded to include two Godello whites, the estate has modernised subtly — focusing more closely on its vineyards, using larger barrels and emphasising freshness in line with new Bierzo classifications. The cellar is now run day to day by rising talent César Márquez, with guidance from his uncle Raúl Pérez.
Delivery is free for orders over £125.

Customers have the right to cancel within seven days of the contract, or seven days after receipt of the goods (whichever is the longer).
Goods can be returned, if possible in original packaging, for a full refund or replacement.
If you receive the wrong product, or a product is faulty, or its bottle or cork is damaged when you receive it, we will replace or refund you with the original price and, if applicable, the cost of returning it.
We ask to be notified in writing or by telephone within seven days of the date of delivery or the time you are aware that the product is faulty or damaged. Products and packaging should be kept until we inform you whether we want you to return them to us or not as we may undertake an analysis or return them to the producer.
Nothing in this returns policy affects your statutory rights or your rights under any contract you may have with us.
