Bodega Norton is a winery steeped in both history and prestige. Located at the foot of the Andes in Mendoza, it was founded in 1895 by engineer, Edmund James Palmer Norton, who established the vineyard by planting vines he imported from France.
Over 120 harvests later, the team have honed their skills to ensure they are completely in tune with their environment, extracting the very best they can from their unique terroirs. The team is now led by winemaker David Bonomi, recognised as one of “South America’s Top 10 Winemakers” by Decanter magazine; and one of the “Top 10 Young Argentinean Winemakers to Watch” by The Drinks Business magazine.
Altura Malbec Valle de Uco 2017
This Malbec displays a remarkable intensity of fruit, combining flavours of damsons and mulberries, offset by complex mineral and earthy notes. The medium to full-bodied palate is resplendent with velvety smooth tannins which coat the mouth, alongside a vibrant seam of acidity which runs through to a spicy finish.
