Gilles Lafouge is the fifth generation to run the Domaine and his son, Maxime, will follow in his footsteps very soon. Most of the vineyard holdings are in Auxey-Duresses with a few vineyards in Meursault and Pommard, all of which are farmed organically. The estate is a good example of what Auxey-Duresses has to offer, with grapes coming from the best vineyards such as Duresses and Climat du Val for the reds. The wines of Lafouge show a fine balance of purity and freshness for the whites, with depth and structure for the reds. With a high proportion of old vines, a dedication to caring for their terroir and a keen eye for detail, Jean and Gilles Lafouge deliver thoughtful Burgundies with excellent value for money.

"Les Boutonniers" is contiguous with Meursault "Meix Chavaux" on shallow soils of clay, high in iron, over the limestone bedrock, giving a somewhat lean and very mineral white Burgundy. Broad on the palate, complex and rich yet with finesse which sums up Domaine Lafouge's style

Goods can be returned, if possible in original packaging, for a full refund or replacement.
If you receive the wrong product, or a product is faulty, or its bottle or cork is damaged when you receive it, we will replace or refund you with the original price and, if applicable, the cost of returning it.
We ask to be notified in writing or by telephone within seven days of the date of delivery or the time you are aware that the product is faulty or damaged. Products and packaging should be kept until we inform you whether we want you to return them to us or not as we may undertake an analysis or return them to the producer.
