Light purple in colour with tinges of violet. On the nose expect scents of black cherries, strawberries and apricots. On the palate, a clean mineral texture with restrained tannins and further cherry flavours leading to a spicy finish.

Crêt des Garanches is run by Sylvie Dufaitre-Genin in Odenas, in the Saone Valley. This is Côte de Brouilly territory, one of the 10 Beaujolais 'Crus', villages which are designated sites of supreme quality. Reds are produced using the Gamay grape, which has a great ability to capture the character of the schist and granitic soils of the region. However, the real secret behind the fresh grape fruitiness of the region's wines lies in the way the grapes are fermented – a technique called carbonic maceration whereby the berries are covered with a layer of carbon dioxide. This yields a complex yet elegant palate, silky tannins and a peppery finish.

If you receive the wrong product, or a product is faulty, or its bottle or cork is damaged when you receive it, we will replace or refund you with the original price and, if applicable, the cost of returning it.
We ask to be notified in writing or by telephone within seven days of the date of delivery or the time you are aware that the product is faulty or damaged. Products and packaging should be kept until we inform you whether we want you to return them to us or not as we may undertake an analysis or return them to the producer.
