One of the best Rosé Champagnes
We believe that Billecart-Salmon is the perfect partner for us at l'Art du Vin as they are one of the few Champagne houses still run by the original family founders. First established in 1818, the house is now run by the 7th generation of the family.
Their Brut Rosé is produced using a blend of wines from three separate vintages and includes three different grape varieties: 30% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir and 30% Pinot Meunier.
The result is a Champagne with a fine, effervescent mousse that offers up flavours of peach and pear, with a hint of raspberry and citrus zest. It is aged on its lees for 36 months – adding a creamy texture – before a further two to four years ageing in bottle before release. The finish is long, with lingering notes of raspberry ensuring that this is a Champagne that is excellent as an aperitif or when paired with seafood or sushi, fresh fruit or a semisweet desert.
Quite simply one of the best Rosé Champagnes available and we are delighted to be able to share it with you all.
