Carmenere Reserva Pionero, Morande, Chile 2019
Regular price £9.60
When Pablo Morandé founded Viña Morandé in 1996, he set out to highlight what he described as the undiscovered nuances of Chilean terroirs. He also had a passion for old vine production and over the years, he became a pioneer for his work in the promotion of quality wines from the Valleys of Casablanca, Maule and the region of Itata. That drive for innovation has always been a key focus of the family, who now produce fruit across a variety of areas in order to champion the regional differences in growing conditions across Chile.
Carmenere Reserva Pionero 2018
This is an excellent expression of Chile’s signature grape variety. It combines plump blackberry and cherry fruit with savoury notes of graphite and fresh herbs. Fine structure and poise on the palate before a long, moreish finish.
