Historic Domaine – Varied terroirs – Family owned
Jean-Michel Chartron, current owner of the domaine which bears his family name, is one of the true believers in making wines that represent their unique terroirs.
Across his estate, he has worked for many years to understand the subtleties of each of his plots of land, experimenting with mainly Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
He believes that, through understanding the minor differences in the soil of each area, he is able to cultivate fruit that in turn gives his wines a true sense of place – a philosophy that we most certainly agree with!
Full bodied, crisp and complex with a core of ripe orchard fruits, almonds and hazelnuts. Vibrant acidity and outstanding balance on opulent and classy finish.
Delicate ginger and white flowers on the nose, a feminine, delicate palate reflecting the typical, chalky terroir of Puligny, long savoury finish.
