Part of “Our team's favourites”
I opened a bottle of this last week and remembered just why I love this wine – so much so that this was in fact the white wine I poured at my wedding!
Clean, crisp and packed with well-balanced citrus fruit, this classic examples of French Sauvignon Blanc is perfect for this time of year – the ideal partner to spring vegetables like asparagus, peas and wild garlic.
Family owned – appellation trailblazer
Domaine de la Rochette
Francois Leclair is among a group of local winemakers intent on driving up the levels of quality in the Touraine appellation. To reach this objective, he has taken it upon himself, along with those who share his vision in the region, to create a new appellation – AOC Chenonceaux, which was legally instated in 2011. Located in the very heart of the sprawling Touraine appellation, Domaine de la Rochette comprises 46 hectares of vines, producing Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc and a little Malbec. Francois’ Sauvignon Touraine has been among our best-selling wines since we opened l’Art du Vin, a fact that has come as little surprise to us as we believe it offers exceptional value for money – a wonderful example of Sauvignon Blanc from the Touraine area.
Award winning Sauvignon from the heart of the Loire. Crisp gooseberries, limes and a very slightly creamy finish.
